- Sleeps Two Comfortably: We use 8cm thick, upholstery-grade foam. This specific thickness strikes the perfect balance: soft enough for a great night's sleep, but low enough to ensure you sit below the parcel shelf line for rear visibility while driving.
- Stable & Secure (No Wobble): One common concern about removable kits is squeaking or wobbling. The Campal Slimline® uses a clamping pressure system or existing anchor points to lock the unit firmly to the vehicle floor. It stays rock-solid, even under braking.
- Unmatched Finish Quality: Unlike many "rough cut" competitors, every Campal unit is sanded, routed, and varnished by hand in our Kent workshop. The edges are smooth and sealed against moisture—essential for UK weather.
- Keep Your Rear Seats: The unit sits in the boot. When you need to camp, the bed folds out over the folded rear seats: no tools required, and no need to store heavy car seats in your garage.

Does "Universal" mean I can swap it between cars?
Not exactly. While the design is universal, we build the unit to fit the specific internal dimensions of your car model. This ensures a perfect fit without gaps or rattles. If you change cars later, contact us—often the unit can be adapted or fit similar models in the same class.

How long does it really take to install?
Once built, the unit slides into the boot and secures in about 3 to 5 minutes. Setting up the bed for the night takes less than 3 minutes.

Is the bed actually comfortable?
Yes. We use 8cm high-density foam, which is tried and tested by thousands of sleepers. This thickness ensures you don’t lose too much headroom.

Do I need to remove my rear seats?
No. The Slimline is designed to work with your rear seats folded down. You retain full use of your vehicle as a five-seater when the bed is stowed.

What is the current lead time?
Update: November 2025 Lead times vary by season. In spring and summer, demand is high (often 4–6 weeks), while autumn/winter builds are faster. We advise booking your build slot early to ensure you are ready for the season.
