What is the Campal PV5 Passenger Conversion?
A removable camper conversion kit is a boot-fitted module that creates a unique elevating flat bed, a slide-out kitchen, and organised storage without permanent vehicle modifications. The Campal provides a variety of seating configurations, all with generous headroom. Designed to complement the vehicle’s existing generous storage space, maximising every angle and feature whilst adding a little Campal magic.
Built for the Kia PV5 Passenger, it takes you from daily driver to weekend electric camper in minutes. Campal for Kia Cargo is in development.

What You Get (Standard Kit)
Our standard conversion kit includes everything you need to start your weekend adventures:
- Main CNC-machined boot housing unit (100% birch plywood) + specially designed floor to secure the Campal in place.
- A completely unique lift up and fold-out bed platform.
- Bespoke 8cm-thick upholstered cushions.
- Heavy-duty slide-out camper kitchen drawer.
- Delivered in a 180cm configuration as standard, with the opportunity to extend to 200cm for a supplementary charge.
- A large, centrally mounted rotating dining table complete with integrated glass holders.
- Choose from a variety of set-ups, from relaxed sofa mode to a spacious U-shaped layout or a classic two-bench arrangement for those quick picnic stops.
- A kitchen built for adventure, with smart storage, a universal cooker shelf, and a reversible platform with cooling bars for stress-free cooking on the go.
- Available in nine stylish cushion colours, crafted with soft, comfortable foam for ultimate comfort. Samples available upon request.

The Campal unit is designed to leverage the unique advantages of an EV cabin while retaining total practicality.
- Silent EV Driving: The box is secured to the car to ensure a rattle free ride.
- Warranty Safe: Our system requires no drilling, cutting, or permanent modifications, so you are not altering factory bodywork or interior trim. Warranty decisions are always at Kia’s discretion, but we simply utilise the existing floor system.
- Preserved Headroom: To ensure you can sit upright comfortably in bed, we keep the sleeping platform low. Because of this, our units do not feature built-in fridge compartments; we recommend keeping portable fridges on the folded front or rear seats overnight.
- Weather-Resistant Finish: All exposed edges are sanded, routed, and hand-varnished. While birch plywood is highly durable, we recommend wiping down any standing water to maintain the finish.
- Lightweight and designed with electric vehicles in mind: weighing just the same as a single adult, approx 79kgs.
- Delivered ready to use: set up in under five minutes and you’re ready to enjoy.

Can you sleep two adults in a Kia PV5?
Yes. The Campal unit folds out into a flat double bed that comfortably sleeps two adults.
Is it easy to install? Will I need to modify my car?
The system requires zero permanent modifications and uses the existing underfloor system. It arrives built and ready to fit, and one person can install it in under 10 minutes. It weighs about 79kg in total.
Is the bed actually flat when the PV5's seats fold down?
Yes. Our box is precision-engineered to bridge the specific gap over the PV5's fold-and-dive rear seats, ensuring a level sleeping surface.
Will it rattle in an EV cabin?
EV cabins are exceptionally quiet, making loose items obvious.
(Note: Kia PV5 deliveries commenced in late 2025; model and trim availability vary by region. We build to the exact specifications of the physical vehicles on the road.)
Will the Campal PV5 kit fit the Kia PV7?
No. Each Campal is made to the exact internal dimensions of one vehicle, and Kia revealed the PV7 on 14 September 2026 as a larger van again, 655mm longer than the PV5 Passenger. It goes on sale in the second half of 2027 and a Campal for it is in development.
