What is the Simply Campal® Kit?
The Simply Campal® is a removable, two-person camper conversion kit for cars and vans. It is designed for adventurers who need maximum storage space for their own gear (like power packs or cooking equipment) rather than a built-in kitchen. It provides a double bed, L-shaped seating, a slim pull out drawer and can be installed or removed in minutes.
As our premium, minimalist solution, the Simply Campal® focuses on this core flexibility. By providing the essential base camp—a comfortable bed, seating, and storage—it empowers you to bring and organize your own adventure equipment, making it the perfect choice for the self-sufficient camper. It offers the same double bed and precision-fit quality as our other models, but in a simple, open-plan design. It's the perfect choice if you already have your own portable cooking setup and power pack and don't want to pay for built-in features you don't need.

Versatile L-shaped seating. Our innovative design features a comfortable L-shaped seating arrangement with a large, central rotating tabletop—perfect for relaxing, dining, or working on the go.
A comfortable bed. The fully removable bed system creates a sturdy, full-size double bed. Paired with our 8cm, soft, washable cushions, it provides proven comfort. We chose 8cm foam specifically because it allows the folded kit to sit at or below the parcel shelf, protecting your rear-view mirror visibility while driving.
Smart, accessible storage. This kit is built for storage. The open-plan design provides ample space for your storage boxes, gear, and power packs. It features a single pull-out drawer suitable for most standard camping stoves or for use as general storage.
Durable, premium materials. We build our kits to last. The unit is made from tough, lightweight, 100% birch plywood. Unlike raw-edged kits, every Campal unit has fully sanded, routed, and varnished edges. This multi-hour process makes the wood waterproof and durable—a difference you can feel.
Ready to use on arrival. Your Simply Campal® arrives fully built. There is no assembly required. You can choose from 7 cushion colours and request free foam and fabric samples.
The Simply Campal also includes a fully removable bed, ideal for short non-stopover trips and clever compartments with easy access when inside the vehicle.

4. How comfortable is the 8cm cushion?
The 8cm cushions offer excellent comfort for sleeping. They balance support and practicality, and when stacked, they sit near parcel-shelf height to maintain rear-view visibility. Samples are available upon request.
5. Can I still use my rear seats?
Yes. In most compatible vehicles, the Simply Campal can be folded into the boot while keeping all rear passenger seats fully usable.
6. Can I buy a used Simply Campal?
Yes, but compatibility varies by vehicle model and year. Simply Campal kits are precision-built, so a unit made for one model year may not fit another. Contact us to confirm fit before purchasing a second-hand unit.
